Sometimes it's all you have.

Since starting my own photography business and hearing the feedback from my clients it makes me want to give back, even in a small way.

If you are faced with a very sick baby, the last thing you might think of is hiring a photographer to capture the time you have left with your little one. I would like this service to be free and available to parents in hospital.

I think of my own kids, and as they grow up all I have aside from a few pieces of clothes are the photographs I have taken. Providing professional quality photographs will give parents something they can have forever.

Thanks to everyone who has hired me this past year and given me the confidence that maybe I can take a good photo.

Introduction

I have had the idea of starting a volunteer group to help families deal with the loss of a newborn child for a long time. I am applying for a Pepsi refresh grant to help with some of the overhead costs, but until then I am going to start the leg work.

My goal is to provide a free photography service for families in the hospital, to photograph newborns who are terminally ill, or born with defects that greatly shorten there life. Photographs are very important to me, and I would love to give families great photos to have for a life time.

Once I get the project off the ground I will start recruiting more photographers if the need is there.
